Aside from the interesting in-game challenges, the players can take part in real-time activities, in which they compete with other players from all around the world for the throne of Most Valuable Players.
Wall of Honor
Each ladder has its own progression achievements that offer progression rewards. You are able to view which player on your server is currently in first place here.
There are currently four unique faction ladders:
Stage Ladder: Players are ranked here according to their stage progression in the main Campaign
Human Ladder: 
Beast Ladder
Machine Ladder
Points are awarded to players in accordance with the number of unique heroes in each faction (excluding duplicates) and the highest ascension level of each unique hero:
